"The first angel sounded, and there followed hail [rocks--not ice] and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed." (Revelation 8:7-9)
What if I told you that the above quoted prophecy is actually going to occur within the coming months--and not years?
In fact, it is! (In boldly asserting that belief, I really do feel what I imagine Noah must have felt. I can almost hear and feel the scoffing, the unbelief, and the indifference of . . . well, practically everyone.)
Still, I am fully willing to stand behind that statement. There has never in history been a generation such as this present one, in which so much evidence of fulfilled prophecy shouts (like trumpet blasts) that this is indeed that generation which shall witness the return of Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost has opened the prophetic Scriptures like never before. We are right now living in the days of the Fifth Seal (http://www.amazon.com/Seven-Seals-Prophecy-History/dp/0692245707/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456755738&sr=8-1&keywords=seven+seals+in+history+and+in+prophecy). Importantly, that great prophetic "marker" began to appear, not yesterday nor last year, but the events of the Fifth Seal began to be fulfilled at least several decades ago.
If you will study the events associated with the 'opening' of the very next Seal (see, Revelation 6:12-17), you will discover that certain catastrophic events are then going to occur which shall affect the inhabitants of earth like nothing ever has before! In fact, the events associated with the Sixth Seal are intimately connected with the events associated also with the Seventh Seal. Those two "Seals" are separately described in Scripture, only because they respectively identify two of the greatest events in Bible prophecy, namely: the Rapture of the Church (6th Seal), and the advent of the Day of the Lord (7th Seal). Yet, the occurrence of those two great events, for all practical purposes, is simultaneous.
I am certain that the (cosmic) events described in connection with both the Sixth and the Seventh Seals, are all part of one and the same great event. That event must involve at the least a planetary-sized object, which, I believe, is even now speeding (at several thousand miles per hour) toward our solar system (if it is not already within the outer boundaries of our solar system); whereupon entering our solar system, it shall soon come within very close proximity to earth's orbit.
Only such a scenario can account for ALL of the events described in association with the Sixth and Seventh Seals, in the book of Revelation. Such a scenario, in fact, answers very well to those prophesied events. Within the past handful or so of years, there has been a phenomenal amount of interest in, and discussion of, the so-called "Planet X" (also variously called "Nibiru", "Nemesis", "Hercolubus", et al). I do recall there was some mention of that even as long as 30-40 years ago; although, at that time, there was not anything like the level of interest (nor was there then the volume of information available), which I have observed during the past few years. (Throughout the remainder of this essay, I will call it "Nibiru"; which, along with "Planet X", seems to be the most common names given to the incoming object/s.)
Importantly, there will be very little warning of its approach: as it most certainly will not be openly nor widely acknowledged, until it can no longer be kept a secret; that is to say, within a period of days-to-weeks, at most, before Nibiru's close approach shall begin to catastrophically affect the earth and its environment. Already, I believe, Nibiru's still-distant approach is significantly affecting earth's weather patterns, as well as Nibiru is likely the cause of the recent, phenomenal increase in earthquakes and volcanic activity.
I am no "conspiracy theorist". But I am a long-time and very serious student of Bible prophecy. Did you know that the Bible foretold that the rich and powerful among the world would prepare for themselves deep underground facilities, in anticipation of a coming cataclysm such as Nibiru threatens to bring upon the earth? Here are just a few such passages of Scripture:
"Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low.... And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.... And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth." (Isaiah 2:10-20)"Idols of silver...and of gold", is an allusion to the rich and powerful. "Moles" and "bats" live beneath the ground, and in caves, respectively. "Casting" their gold and silver idols to the "moles" and to the "bats", doesn't mean that the rich and powerful are going to throw their money "at", nor give their money "to", moles and bats. No. But it means that the rich and powerful will EXPEND their vast wealth to BUILD DEEP UNDERGROUND SHELTERS for themselves, in order "to go into the clefts of the rocks", when the Lord "ariseth to shake terribly the earth".
Do the so-called "elite" (rulers of this world) know something which ordinary folks don't know, concerning the approach of something very large, from deep space, coming towards earth? You bet they do. The elite maintain total control of advanced scientific equipment, including earth-based and satellite-type telescopes, with which the elite are capable to observe and measure deep space objects and their movements. Is there, then, any proof that the elite have lately been spending vast amounts of money to build deep underground shelters? You bet there is such proof--and lots of it, too. Literally trillions of dollars have been spent, in the last couple of decades at least, to build virtual cities deep beneath the earth, in anticipation of a soon-coming cataclysm. And that information is not at all of a speculative nature.

The close fly-by of Nibiru will have devastating consequences for multitudes now living on the earth. Multiplied millions will die. Nevertheless, the earth shall not utterly be destroyed. Probably, a majority of earth's inhabitants may actually survive those catastrophic events. After a few weeks of unspeakable horror and pandemonium have passed, and it then becomes apparent that a large proportion of humanity survived the encounter with Nibiru, life will resume, with very great difficulties. But the whole world shall then be incomparably different than what it presently is.
There shall then not only be an opportunity to implement a "New World Order", as that is called; but people everywhere will doubtless accept the need for such. That will be the time of the Antichrist, and of the dread Tribulation . . . and of God's wrath poured out.
For the relative few, however, who right now are following Christ wholeheartedly, Nibiru's approach shall be the final signal announcing our home-going. For, it is clear in Scripture, that the Rapture shall occur in conjunction with the events of the Sixth Seal--which corresponds with the time when Nibiru shall first begin to "shake terribly the earth". For that reason (and for other reasons which I have elsewhere discussed), no one who shall be left on the earth will notice, nor will they even care, that the Rapture (then) occurred.
There seems to have been a marked increase, during the past few months, in the amount of available information pertaining to Nibiru and its approach. I do expect that, within the next few months at most, there shall begin to appear such kinds of evidences as cannot be refuted nor denied, regarding the reality of Nibiru and of its implications for Earth.

Meanwhile, the events of the Fifth Seal must fully run their course:
"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:9-13).- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Now, I wrote all of the foregoing, in order to ask the following question:
Where are those saints whose eyes are open,
and who thus are serious about
gathering together to pray and to seek God,
for the urgent--nay, for the desperate--
need of this present hour?

Is that not, exactly, what we are commanded, in Joel, to do . . . and at this very time?
"Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God. Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD, Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come. Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God? The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered. How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field. The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness. Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand...." (Joel 1:13-2:1)
The "day of the LORD cometh"; "it is nigh at hand". Those words clearly reveal that the prophecy addresses those who shall be alive just PRIOR to the "day of the LORD" (the Tribulation). And the injunction of the Holy Ghost very plainly declares that the true Church must sanctify themselves, fast, and pray -- in anticipation of -- and in full awareness of -- the near-approaching "day of the LORD". Moreover, the Holy Ghost instructed (commanded) that we must:
"call a solemn ASSEMBLY, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD...."My house? or yours? or even on a street corner? The PLACE is not important. But I do not see -- ANYWHERE -- that the kind of GATHERING TOGETHER, and for the KIND OF PRAYING TOGETHER, as the Holy Ghost above described, is occurring.
More than 50 years ago, Leonard Ravenhill wrote the following words:
"Right at this moment a phenomenon, spiritual in character, is happening--in a place I could name, but dare not. Fifteen men . . . are committed to a Spirit-designed assignment[; who] resolutely refuse to let their names be published.... [T]hey have spent . . . more than hundreds of consecutive nights [in] prayer for revival" ("Prayer: Its Deeper Dimensions": Marshall, Morgan & Scott, 1963. p 72)."Hundreds" (plural) "of consecutive nights" . . . in prayer . . . together.
That's desperation in prayer.
And that was more than half a century ago.
In view of such devotion, at that time; and, in view of the unspeakably greater need of this present hour; and, in view of the relative poverty of our corporate effort in prayer: I must ask the question:
Are we ourselves, also, then, apostates?
