what "Ezekiel's War" tells us

(Read Ezekiel chapters 37 thru 39.)

The Bible's description of Ezekiel's War provides us some very important information which, if we understand its meaning, will give us much needed encouragement.  The following is not an exhaustive discussion of chapters 38-39; I want to focus on a few key points.  Let's unpack it....

Throughout the first twenty verses of chapter 38, God describes the End-times scenario in which a coalition of nations shall launch a massive invasion against Israel.  Then, in verse 21, we read the following:
"And I [God] will call for a sword against [those invading armies] throughout ALL MY MOUNTAINS, saith the Lord God..."
In Scripture, "mountains" is a metaphor for nations, kingdoms, etc.  God oftentimes uses 'natural' means in supernatural ways to accomplish his will.  In the case at hand, God is not only going to cause the invasion of Israel (see vv 1-9) but he then is going to bring armies from other nations to fight against and ultimately defeat those invaders.  Following, is what (I believe) we can deduce from that revelation - and with a significant degree of confidence:

Lesson #1
The Democratic Party will NOT regain power in America; at least, not before Ezekiel's War occurs.

Why do I say that?  Think about it.  Is the Democratic Party pro-Israel?  Absolutely, not!  Would the Democratic Party ever come to Israel's defense?  Emphatically, No!

Who - besides America - may be willing to come to Israel's defense . . . especially, against such overwhelming force as shall then consist in the armies of the invading coalition?  There is no one else besides America that is presently capable, much less willing to stand up against a coalition including Iran and Russia (and others with them).

But if (when) America shall come to Israel's defense, in that case, other nations will join with America to fight - since that occasion shall present an auspicious opportunity for certain nations (Saudi Arabia, notably) to overcome their longtime enemies.

Lesson #2
Iran will NOT acquire thermonuclear bombs.

Chapter 38 describes the invading armies coming against Israel, thus:
"...all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land..." (vv 15b-16a).
If Iran had thermonuclear bombs, would Iran risk attacking Israel by conventional means?  I think not.

Lesson #3
There is a high probability that the Rapture of the Church will occur in close connection with Ezekiel's War.

There are at least a couple of very significant clues that support the foregoing assertion.  First, God's divine intervention to protect and deliver Israel during Ezekiel's War, marks a great turning-point in the spiritual condition of that nation.  Consider, if you will, the following two verses (in chapter 39):
"So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD...." (v. 7)
"So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward..." (v. 22)
My understanding of Scripture teaches me that God's dealings with the nation of Israel are in some important ways distinct from God's dealings with the Gentile nations during the Church Age.  When Israel as a nation shall be turned to the Lord, I believe that strongly suggests that the Church Age shall have come to its end.

Second, we know, from Scripture, that the Rapture of the Church shall coincide with a "great shaking" such as the earth has not witnessed since at least the time of the Flood.  It appears that Ezekiel's War is going to be attended by something like that:
"Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeing things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground..." (vv 19b-20).
The Rapture is going to be a secret Event.  The world will never know it happened.  For other reasons as well, I believe the Rapture may very likely occur in conjunction with Ezekiel's War; which shall further contribute to conceal the true circumstances involving the Rapture.

CONCLUSION(S)

  • Ezekiel's War is now imminent.  The stage appears to be set all around.  It wouldn't take much to trigger events that would cause Iran and Russia to invade Israel.
  • The Democrats are NOT going to regain power in America.  Though the situation seems exceedingly threatening, yet God is in control.  And God is working not to destroy America (not yet, anyway), but to give opportunity for all who will be saved, to come to Christ.  As, I believe, He will continue to do until the end (the Rapture).
  • America is not going to collapse (at least, not before Ezekiel's War).  Else, how could God use America to defeat Israel's enemies?
  • Iran is not going to achieve nuclear capability.  Not ever.
  • Fear mongering is the devil's way - not God's.  God wants His people to live and work IN HOPE OF GOD's DIVINE INTERVENTION.  After all, Jesus DID pay the price of Redemption.  And God is pleased to answer Jesus's faith and obedience.
As one dear Brother often says:  "It's late.  It's very late.  But it's not too late."

Look up, Church!  Jesus is still on the Throne.  We are still living in the Day of Grace.  We are still here on the earth; which means that God still has a work for us to do.   BELIEVE!!  BELIEVE!!  BELIEVE!!!
