Promises are only meaningful, depending upon the character of the person who makes them.  Yet, promises require something else: they must have someone to embrace them.

Do you - Christian, know what love is?

In my considerable experience, I will say that less than five in one-hundred professing Christians know what love is.  And NOT ONE unsaved person knows what love is.

The two snakes in the above photo are similar in appearance.  But one is harmless, whereas the other is deadly poisonous.  The illustration is meant to suggest that it can be very harmful not to carefully distinguish between two things that look alike.  Consider the principles of Love and Forgiveness.  Forgiveness is commonly perceived as (an act of) Love.  But that can in fact be a deadly mistake....

what is love?

If you were to conduct a random survey of 1,000 people, asking them whether they know what "love" is, how many of them, do you suppose, would say, "Yes"?  Probably, 100% of them would answer that question in the affirmative, without even pausing to think about it.  What about you?  Do you know what love is?  You may be surprised to learn that....
