Most Christians seem to be a long time coming to understand the real nature of spiritual warfare.  They should know, at least, they are at war with the devil.  However, in my experience, it appears that relatively few Christians perceive the devil as a real danger, an enemy combatant, an experienced warrior.

are you living FOR God, or BY God?

The woman depicted in the above cartoon does indeed have her feet on the scales.  And she is certain to obtain a number in the scale's display showing a 'weight' that is favorable to her own wishes.  Funny.  But there is an important message conveyed by that cartoon.

what is the Church?

It seems like such a simple question: What is the Church?  Yet, after all my years as a Christian attending scores (if not hundreds) of different churches, I have come to believe that most professing Christians do not really know the answer to that question.  Many will likely say that the Church is a place where people meet to worship God.  But that is very far from being a correct answer.
