I really struggled to find an appropriate image for this essay. I wanted something that would convey a sense of veritable insanity, in a single image. I rejected a lot of photos, including: a man in an asylum, wearing a straight-jacket; young people in black hoods and masks, rioting at Berkley; a wild-eyed young woman who had overdosed on drugs; a man holding a bloody knife and shouting obscenities. You get the idea. But I decided instead to use the above image, because it says something important ~ which none of the other images said: which is, that most of the time demon spirits look more like your grandma than, say, a mass-murderer. Demons want to remain hidden, whilst they seek to destroy.
Oh, wait ~ those women in the above photo are mass-murderers! Which makes my point.
"How's that?" I'm glad you asked. The recent women's march in Washington, D.C., was a protest against ~ what? ~ against Donald Trump's administration, which already has done a great deal to stop the murdering of unborn children (abortion). The women in the above photograph put forth extraordinary effort ~ to support the mass killing of unborn babies! But this essay is not about abortion, or women's rights, or the just-mentioned march. It is about the unprecedented increase of demonic activity in the world generally, and in America specifically; and, where that all is leading.

A real and very strange phenomenon is occurring all across America. Some suppose it is related to what is called, mass hysteria. A different characterization was recently suggested in an article titled, "Gad Saad On Hysteria And 'Collective Munchausen' Around Donald Trump," which was published on the website of FrontPageMag.com (here). Saad, who is "Professor of Marketing and holder of the Concordia University Research Chair in Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences and Darwinian Consumption," proposed that the multifarious, bizarre public exhibitions which have lately been played out on the stage of mass media in America, involving protest marches and riots, etc., may represent a collective expression of a mental condition called, "Munchausen Syndrome" ~ on a mass scale.
According to Saad, protest demonstrations such as we in America have lately seen, may be motivated in large part by a lot of people who are just seeking attention to themselves. Interesting. Yet, in the purer light of Scripture, I see something far more serious at work. Which is, that multitudes of Americans are quite literally losing their minds. Tragically for most of them, they're never coming home (to sanity). And what can that mean for the future of America?
I know better than to suppose that hundreds of thousands of (mostly) women, for example, spontaneously showed up at the same place and time, dressed in vulgar outfits to demonstrate against the new President and his pro-life policies. But just for that reason, too ~ that is, because I know that such demonstrations are purposefully orchestrated, it's easy to overlook the underlying reality, which is that most of those (men and women) who participated in that demonstration (as well as those in numerous, other anti-Trump demonstrations) are not in their right mind.
If Gad Saad's theory were correct, then we should understand that it's merely an act that the demonstrators are putting on, in order to draw attention to themselves; a weird (and oftentimes violent) one to be sure, but an act, nevertheless ~ as many are tempted to believe. But, in fact, it is much more than an act. Neither do I believe that such acts are primarily nor even merely for the purpose to draw attention to oneself (as Saad posited). Rather, as I have observed, over the course of decades, American culture has been subverted by powerful and malevolent demon spirits, which incessantly strive toward a singular end, that is, the destruction of humanity.

I have elsewhere written (here, here, and here) about the fact that insanity is the judgment of God against those who resist the truth of Christ (see, especially, Romans chapter 1). We are now in that time period ~ just prior to the Rapture of the Church and the onset of the Tribulation, when that a great separation is taking place in this world: whereby, the saints are being prepared for glory; meanwhile, the world of unbelievers is growing darker and darker with each passing day.
One of the most horrific judgments to occur, during the soon coming Tribulation, shall entail worldwide, mass demon-possession (in connection with the judgment associated with the Fifth Trumpet; Revelation ch. 9). Thus we see not only does God turn over to a "reprobate mind" all those who refuse to receive the love of the truth (see, 2Thessalonians 2:7-12). But the torment, of such persons, goes far beyond the capacity of their own spirit to endure ~ in consequence as they literally become "the habitation [dwelling place] of devils, and the hold [prison] of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird" (Revelation 18:2). Which being interpreted, means demon-possessed.
God made the human being to be a kind of house in which God's Spirit should dwell together with man's own spirit. But if anyone refuses to receive God's Spirit, yet, he or she is still a "house;" in which ~ and in which case, that is, having rejected Christ ~ demon spirits can and will inhabit such person(s).
But it is not during the Tribulation, only, that human beings may become demon-possessed. Countless millions of human beings are even now opening themselves wide to demon spirits. Demon-possession is far more prevalent than is generally understood or believed. Indeed, thoughout this present generation, America has been experiencing an outbreak of demonic activity on a scale hitherto unknown in this nation. The reason why that is happening is because that Americans are increasingly willing to defy the authority of God's Word (the Bible) and to reject the workings of the Holy Ghost. The result of which is lawlessness, chaos ~ and judgment.
It is instructive to consider the case of the demoniac who, in Scripture, is identified with the name, "Legion" (see, Mark ch. 5, and Luke ch. 8). For, there it is seen what superhuman power may be manifested by one person who is demon-possessed (see, also, the case involving the "seven sons of...Sceva," in Acts ch. 19). An entire town of grown men was not able to restrain Legion, no, not even with chains. What am I trying to say? That even the police power of the State may not be capable of restraining the burgeoning onslaught of violence that is being helped on by so many wicked persons, including: politicians; academics; media; financiers; and, not least, millions of useful idiots. In fact, we have already seen many examples of riots in numerous American cities, in which cases it appeared that the police were not much more than spectators, unable if not also unwilling to withstand against the violence of mobs.
The prophet Hosea (8:7) wrote: "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Get ready, America, to reap the whirlwind. You've sown the wind, as long as you have been complicit in an evil culture. You've not spoken out against the wholesale slaughter of innocents, who were aborted by the tens-of-millions. You've been willing to surrender your children into the grasp of the public
But I'm not the judge of such things. Rather, your own children will judge you ~ as they tear the fabric of your world to shreds: "whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives" (Proverbs 30:14), after the manner of their upbringing.
The doors of the bottomless pit have been pried open by the hands of foolish men and women ~ most of whom have absolutely no idea what evil they commit, nor what uncontrollable, diabolical forces they release upon themselves and their own children.
"Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
