pray not for this people



"Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes?  Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.  But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.  And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.  And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.  Therefore  pray not thou for this people , neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee."  (Jeremiah 7:11-16)

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Revelation 3:16 ~ Jesus, speaking to "the church of the Laodiceans").

"Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.  And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity....  For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee?...  Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting."　(Jeremiah 15:1-6)

Some people make the great mistake of supposing that the God of the Old Testament is somehow different from the God of the New Testament.  But the Bible plainly tells us: "I am the LORD, I change not" (Malachi 3:6).  When Jesus returns (very soon!), he is not coming, as he formerly did, "as a lamb to the slaughter"; no.  But he is coming in the unbridled fury of the wrath of God.

Even the saints who are in heaven are right now praying for God's judgment.  And, I reckon, they are praying with more fervor and importunity than are most "Christians" still living on earth:

"And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. 

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood...."  (Revelation 6:9-12)

 

In case you are unaware, we have been living in the days of the Fifth Seal for the past several decades.  The 'opening' of the Sixth Seal is now at hand.  (For explanation and proofs of that, read my book, here.)  The cry of heaven ~ is for Judgment.  I didn't say that; the Holy Ghost did.

 

That cry from above is beginning to reach all the way down to touch the earth.

 

There is coming a time (God knows) when God will NO LONGER be willing to receive prayers for mercy, on the behalf of sinners ~ no, not even though such prayers of intercession were offered up by "Moses and Samuel".

 

O! how dead is the heart of those who have not been born-again!  There are no words that can express sufficient horror that will move them one inch toward repentance!  Unless, God in mercy will come and awaken their conscience, they cannot be saved.  But when God comes, in His own mind, to the place where that He will not hear the prayers of his own children, for the lost . . . .  All hope will then be gone for the lost.  And that time is coming ~ PERHAPS, EVEN BEFORE THE RAPTURE!

 

In the parable of the Ten Virgins: Who is it that "closed the door", after that the five "wise" virgins had been granted entrance to the Wedding?  It was Christ.  Nor was Christ at all willing ever to open that door, again ~ notwithstanding the desperate pleadings of the "foolish" virgins who came, too late, knocking on heaven's door.

 

My family; my friends:  Heed!  Heed!  Heed!  Heed!  The clouds of Tribulation are gathering thick!  That eternal Night is fast falling upon the world!!  There is life beyond the Tribulation ~ though not for ANY who have heard, but did not heed, the call of Christ, in this present time.

 

Remember Jesus's own words:  "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24:44)
