But I'm not interested in mental gymnastics, nor to engage in high-sounding psychobabble. I am really trying to explain a tremendously important perspective. Namely, that the whole world is very near unto a colossal breaking point toward which it has lately been accelerating at breathtaking speed. For the unsaved world, that breaking point shall mean their rather sudden crossing over into a realm of spiritual and intellectual reprobation, and of abject fear: a realm in which the unsaved world shall find itself utterly dominated by malevolent, supernatural entities and forces.
At the same time there shall be a breaking through involving the Body of Christ. In fact, I suppose the analogy I have been using may be further extended on this point. Which is to say, that the Body of Christ steadfastly pressing against and, ultimately, through that metaphorical sound barrier (the mounting pressure of sin in the world) will in fact be the causative factor in the coming world-civilizational collapse. Why should we suppose otherwise? The Bible plainly says it was Noah's obedience and faith that "condemned the world" and so made way for the judgment of God in the Flood (Hebrews 11:7; 2Peter 2:5).
I have elsewhere on this blog written extensively about what I have called, The Great Transition, in a series of essays titled, "Between Two Ages". I perceive there is soon coming a 'breaking through', on the part of faithful Christians ~ or should I say, on the part of the Holy Ghost who indwells such persons. That breaking through is going to result in the whole world ~ including both the saved and the unsaved, coming to experience hitherto unknown realms dominated by supernatural beings and powers. The true Church is going to be raised up heavenward, both spiritually and physically, in the Presence of Jesus Christ and the heavenly host. Whereas, the devil and his angels shall be cast down to earth, from above, and hordes of demons shall be brought up from the depths of the bottomless pit below, to ravage and devour the souls of those who have rejected the mercy of God in Christ. Things are getting ready to change ~ for everyone on earth, in ways that none of us can at this time even imagine.
We know for a fact that the unsaved are not going to leave the world before that they begin to suffer the horrors of God's judgments in the form of demonic torments (together with a diversity of other kinds of plagues). To what degree the Body of Christ may begin to experience the powers and joys of heaven ~ whilst we yet remain embodied on the earth ~ remains to be seen. Yet, if we consider the Biblical patterns wherein God's judgments were meted out in ancient times, we find that God always moved first to prepare and also to deliver the righteous, before He rained down wrath and punishments upon the ungodly.
The whole world is about to transition suddenly to a time that, Jesus said, shall be unprecedented in the history of the world ~ both past and future. The millennia-long epoch during which Satan and his angels have (for God's own reasons) been allowed to influence, if not overrule, the world of unregenerate human beings, shall be utterly undone within a few short years from now; surely, its undoing must then begin . . . any day now.
Isaiah chapter 24 is alive! alive to me! Isaiah 60:1-2 gives me exceeding great hope! Joel chapter 1 ~ which we have now lived to see its fulfillment, transitions suddenly to a scene of incomparable victory and glory (to the righteous), in chapter 2. There is abundant hope given to those who diligently seek God, in His Word. "Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart" (Psalm 97:11). That light is in the Word of God.
Things look bleak and hopeless to the natural mind. Truly, there has never been a darker time in the history of mankind. Nevertheless, the true Church is still here: God must have a high and holy purpose in our yet being here. As a dear brother in Christ used to say: "I'm not looking for a hole in the ground; I'm looking for a hole in the sky!" Likewise, I'm not interested in what the devil may be trying to do. But I'm looking for a great move of God ~ in this present world, at this present time.
In the Name of God, I say, it's coming. Imminently.
As usual brother, I agree completely in your analogy, and also looking for that “hole” in the sky... You have quite possibly written one of the best explanations/sermonettes that reveals from a scholarly and Spiritual view what is going on in the physical and Spiritual world in which we live and breathe. Please continue your eternally important work. I love reading them. If the Lord tarries, I would love to sit and have coffee and fellowship... Love you guys.
ReplyDeleteOh that will be a glorious moment when we meet Jesus in the air. We shall have his presence that will change us all. It is so much to look forward to. I look forward to sharing it with you my brother and to all the things we will accomplish together with JESUS.......
