fear as temptation

In this time of increasing trouble and gross darkness ~ a time when many tyrants intoxicated with hitherto unknown powers have suddenly sprung up amongst us like prodigious weeds, threatening not only our ancient liberties but our very lives as well: there is doubtless for many a great temptation to fear.  Fear is something much more than an emotion: fear is, in fact, a temptation . . . .

priests and prophets

At the root of every human culture there is some kind of religion ~ a cultural system embodying a set of ideas which purports to interpret and represent the mysteries of life and the cosmos.  Such systems of thought ~ together with their respective cultures they have engendered, have existed from at least the time of ancient Babylonia.  Though religions may differ greatly with respect to their content; yet, in form they tend to be remarkably alike, i.e.: they typically involve a form of priesthood.

The contemporary religion of _____________ is no different.  Allow me to explain what that is and why it matters.

reprobation and revival

The thing that amazes and truly concerns me the most, regarding the current "pandemic"-related crisis, is that multitudes are evidently blind to reality.  So many seem unwilling even to talk about real, that is to say factual, data; their heads seem ready veritably to explode when confronted with well-reasoned arguments.  How, I wonder, can social dis-integration (or worse) be prevented, if it be the case that sizeable factions of the population are unwilling to engage one another in a rational and civil manner?  It used to be that most everyone understood and agreed that to live in "society" requires a willingness to reason and negotiate with others who may disagree with you.  But such willingness lately appears to have almost completely disappeared from American society.

Open Ohio Responsibly Framework

On Monday, April 27, 2020, a twelve-member "conservative caucus" of Ohio state Representatives released a document titled, "Open Ohio Responsibly Framework" (link to full document, HERE).  As you read thru the following critique of that proposal, I'd like you to keep in mind that the "Framework" document represents the thinking ~ not of Leftwing radicals, but of a caucus representing Ohio "conservatives".

virtual reality

"Virtual reality" is altogether an illusion.  Nevertheless, it looks real; it feels real.  The more nearly that virtual reality can imitate the real world, the more believable, the more seductive, it can be.  There is a truism which provides a most important insight, concerning the power of artful "virtual reality" simulation ~ which, truism, simply states: "perception is reality".

"He that is not with me is against me...."
(Jesus Christ; Matthew 12:30)

The very suggestion of Jesus Christ as a Nazi, ought to offend the sensibilities of . . . well, I started to say, everyone.  But that would be a great mistake.  In fact, there are perhaps millions of people ~ no, not just in bygone days of Nazi Germany; but, there are perhaps millions of people living in the world today, who are not the least bit offended by the idea, that is, of Jesus as a Nazi; or, a Communist; or, Fascist; or Democratic Socialist; or....   You get the idea.

By far most of those people are professing Christians.

white coat power play

In the very early 1960s ~ soon after the end of WWII, social scientist Stanley Milgram carried out his singularly important (though not widely known) experiments which he designed to investigate the seemingly inexplicable, blind obedience of multitudes of Germans who directly or indirectly contributed to Hitler's reign of terror.  High-ranking German officers who after the War were tried for war-crimes, all claimed as their defense that they were merely "following orders".  Milgram thus wanted to investigate the nature and extent of individuals' obedience to authority figures.  As he later wrote: "Could it be that [Adolf] Eichmann and his million accomplices in the Holocaust were just following orders?  Could we call them all accomplices?"

clearing up the fog of war

"Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us" (1 Thessalonians 2:18).

I do apologize that I was not able to get a video published, today.  It is not for lack of effort (production is underway; it will be worth the wait).  But I have been much occupied this past week, working to push back against ongoing tyrannical practices of Ohio's political leaders.  I am now completely convinced that the so-called "pandemic" is a grand ploy on the part of those who are desperate ~ and will stop at nothing ~ to regain the reigns of power in America.  As if everything else we've witnessed, throughout the past three years of Trump's presidency, was not enough to convince us....

HeadJanitor ~ on YouTube

Beginning this coming Monday (April 21, 2020) I aim to publish at least one (possibly, two) video/s every week (God willing), on the YouTube channel, "Prophecy Guide".  You can connect with that channel HERE.  (You can identify that site by the banner art, shown above.)  I will of course continue my work, here, on HeadJanitor. Indeed, given the challenging times we are now passing through, I expect to be communicating with you even more frequently than in the past ~ both by writing (on HeadJanitor) and by video (at Prophecy Guide).

SHARE HeadJanitor

My dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters in Christ:  I think I have never asked for financial support for my work on HeadJanitor (though I did once receive a very generous gift from one of my Readers).  Nor am I asking for such, now.  But I do earnestly ask that you will help, in your own ways, to give these essays ~ now numbering almost 600! ~ a much broader distribution.  If, after all, you judge that my writings are worth your own time to read, and this site to follow; then, I very humbly ask that you will at least take the minute or so it may require to SHARE this site, and individual essays, as often as you can, via your social media connections.  My earnest prayer is that the Person, Cause, and Kingdom of Christ may be advanced in every way by us.

Thank you, for coming to share with me what I have devoted now so many thousands of hours of my life to produce, through Jesus Christ ~ for your sakes.

"The Return" ~ part 2: IMPORTANT

In my earlier blog (titled, "The Return" ~ Johnathan Cahn), I exposed the fact that several of the principal speakers and/or promoters, connected with that event, are part of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) network.   I want my readers to know just how IMPORTANT it is to discern EVERYTHING that is touched by the NAR: for, they are among Satan's most strategic weapons he is using to deceive the Church ~ and, to bring about the rise of the False Prophet.

"The Return" ~ Jonathan Cahn

Here we go, again.  Believe me, the only reason I give my time to write about heretics and apostates, is because I feel compelled to do so, as I firmly believe, by the Spirit of God.  It is a very needful and important ~ though unpleasant ~ part of being a 'watchman'.

Very recently I became aware of an upcoming event that is scheduled for late September of this year (2020).  That event is called, "The Return" (link to the website, HERE).  From what I know about the people involved in it, that event is likely to generate a huge turnout a few months from now in Wash., D.C.; moreover, between now and September, it will create a lot of buzz in the church-world. (Please ~ to save me time writing to explain it; and, to save you time reading it: watch the brief video trailer that is prominently linked on the homepage of that website.)

I'm sure a lot of well-meaning Christians will believe that such an event as "The Return" is supposed to be, is a good and needful thing.  After all, what Christian person would say that a nationwide call for repentance and Revival in America is not a good thing?

Nevertheless, I have very grave concerns about it.  I think you should, too....

pray not for this people

"Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes?  Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.  But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.  And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.  And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of EphraimTherefore  pray not thou for this people , neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee."  (Jeremiah 7:11-16)

the Judgment of Fire

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God...the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.  (2 Peter 3:3-7)  The Bible reveals that, whereas the Old World was destroyed by a global Flood of water; the world that now exists shall be destroyed by fire.  Moreover, the Bible tells us exactly when that is going to occur, namely, upon the arrival of what is called, in Scripture, "the day of the LORD".  Do we know anything about when that awful "day" will come?  YES! we do!  In fact, I wrote a book about it (here).  Believe me, the day of the LORD is now ready to break upon the world with such fury of God's wrath that men will cry out "to the mountains and rocks":
"Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of [Christ]; for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Revelation 6:16-17)

COVID ~ racing to the future

My own approach to understanding current events, in the light of Bible prophecy, oftentimes involves a process which I have termed, End-forward analysis.  In other words, I begin at some or another rather well defined future event or condition, as that is described in Bible prophecy, and then proceed in my thinking to work backwards toward the present, seeking all along to figure out, logically (with spiritual-mindedness), how that present conditions might reasonably contribute to, or culminate in, that future condition which I chose as my starting-point, as described in prophecy.

I believe there is much that can be discerned by means of such a process as I just described, with regard to the present global crisis related to the so-called pandemic.

Apocalypse

Most people suppose the word "apocalypse" has to do with judgment and destruction ~ probably, due to the fact that the final book in the Bible has long been known as "The Apocalypse".  That book of Scripture is indeed full of judgment and destruction ~ so much so, that many (even of professing Christians) fear to come near it, no, not even to read it.

The word apocalypse actually means "to uncover; to reveal".  Thus, the last book in the Bible (formerly called, The Apocalypse) is now commonly known as The Revelation.  It is something of a paradox that a word which means "to reveal", and which word was used as the title to identify a book of Scripture wherein God gave great revelation to mankind, came instead to be associated with dark mysteries and tribulation too horrible to contemplate.  But such is the fallen nature of man, that he is always ready to look on the dark side of everything.  The well known saying, "All good things must come to an end", is but one example which illustrates the innate hopeless of fallen mankind.

eyes of God

It is possible, through God, to see with the eyes of God.  Ezekiel was given eyes to see God seated upon His throne and carried about upon some fantastic, living, powerful...something ~ quite beyond Ezekiel's ability to adequately describe with words.  Can you imagine seeing with your own eyes something like unto the above image ~ but in real life!?  If you were Ezekiel, and you saw something like that: would you perhaps be tempted not to speak of it to anyone ~ for fear that no one would understand, much less believe you?  But thank God, Ezekiel not only had eyes to see it; he also was given the faith and courage to speak and to write about what he saw.

pray until

"Elias [Elijah] was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain...." (James 5:17-18).

We are not shown in Scripture how that Elijah prayed that it might not rain; except, that he prayed "earnestly".  We are clearly told, however, the manner in which Elijah prayed for rain ~ after that it had not rained for three and a half years:

God of mercy

The above image represents a close-up view from just outside the top edge of the Ark of the Covenant: whereupon the lid stood two cherubim facing inward toward the center.  In that void of space just above the lid of the Ark, is where the Presence of God was manifested.  It was a most holy place, that little space between the cherubim.  Most holy.  For, there upon the top of that lid, between the cherubim, was poured the precious blood of the Sacrifice.  The cherubim signify the reverential worship of heaven in the Presence of God ~ and in the sight of the blood of God's Sacrifice.  Of all the places in the camp of Israel; of all the places in that beautiful Tabernacle in the Wilderness; of all the places in the whole world: that little space above the Ark was where God chose to Be, to rest, to dwell.  The blood-stained lid of the Ark of the Covenant even had a special name: it was called, the Mercy Seat.

hell is not the answer

How life-changing it would be if we could somehow be transported in our minds to stand, as it were, on the perimeter of that rocky crag on the outskirts of Jerusalem where the ancient Romans frequently carried out public executions, to observe the events that transpired there on a certain day.  Jerusalem was especially filled with people, on that day.  Jews from all over the then known world had come to keep the Feast of Passover.  The Romans must have seen it as a fortuitous opportunity to demonstrate their dominate power over that region (the Jews had long been a thorn in Rome's side, so to speak).  In fact, on that very day, Barabbas, the ring leader of a recently failed Jewish rebellion, was to have been publicly executed by the most brutal means of crucifixion.  But God had other plans....
