Revival -- unlike any other

"Let me go out on a limb a little bit and prophesy.  I see the time coming when all the holy men whose eyes have been opened by the Holy Spirit will desert worldly Evangelicalism, one by one.  The house [worldly churches] will be left desolate and there will not be a man of God, a man in whom the Holy Spirit dwells, left among them. . . .  I would like to live to see the time when the men and women of God--holy, separated and spiritually enlightened--walk out of the evangelical church and form a group of their own; when they get off the sinking ship and let her go down . . . and form a new ark to ride out the storm" (A.W. Tozer, d.1963)

the ten virgins

I want to briefly examine the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).  For, that parable is especially relevant to the time in which we are now living.  Its meaning is vitally important to understand, as it essentially entails a severe warning to all professing Christians.  And though the lessons of that parable are not at all difficult to interpret or to comprehend, nevertheless, there remains--among Christians themselves, evidently, a great deal of ignorance and confusion concerning the meaning of that parable.

Noah

If Noah were living in these days, he would probably look a lot like the guy pictured, above.  I'd like you to meet Noah.

insanity -- as judgment

Seeking God for Revival has become the foremost thing in my mind.  In the course of which, I continually give a great deal of thought, not only to the Word of God concerning Revival, but also to the present condition of the world.  The need of Revival seems overwhelming, in the extreme.  Were it not for the fact that God has given us His Word, the situation truly would be hopeless.  It is nothing short of astonishing, to me, that the great majority of professing Christians do not yet demonstrate any real comprehension of the desperate condition of the Church and of the world.  How, then, can they be concerned enough about the need of Revival, to be moved to travail in prayer?

Today, as I have been contemplating the pervasive madness (insanity) throughout society, I happened upon a website which addresses the fact that, in Scripture, insanity is shown to be a judgment of God upon sinners.

out on a limb

Bless my soul!  Here I was thinking that I was pretty far out on a limb with some of the things I have been writing and speaking, concerning the apostate condition of the churches in America, and how that real Bible-believing Christians need to come out of that mess and team up with other genuine Christians, and how that we urgently need to start getting together on a regular basis and praying and seeking God, together, for a fire-baptized Holy Ghost Revival, and....lots, lots more.  But, come to find out--and to my great amazement and joy, I am not yet as far out on that limb as I ought to be!

the great shaking is near!

It's coming!!  The great shaking is coming!!
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand...   Joel 2:1
"Let ALL the inhabitants of the land tremble," saith God!  So, it shall surely happen.  The Bible says that God's voice--

Go, Elijah...

Elijah was one of the most notable prophets in the Old Testament.  He appears, in Scripture, as if from out of nowhere, thundering out his dire prophecy, in the face of Ahab king of Israel, saying: "As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word" (1 Kings 17:1).  Elijah was never a man to be kowtowed by political correctness, but he was one whose heart and mind burned with zeal for God's glory.

revealing Antichrist -- part 3

The revelation of Scripture provides, to those who are indwelt by God's Spirit, that body of absolute truth which is indispensable for making sense of the world in which we live.  Bible knowledge--especially true knowledge of Bible prophecy, is the lens, as it were, which brings an otherwise blurred and uncertain image of world events into razor-sharp focus.  Seemingly disparate events spanning decades, or even centuries of time--as well as certain events which have not yet occurred, are thus capable of being understood within a much larger conceptual framework, one which explains those events in terms of their relationship to (all) other events.  All of which, events, are working together to bring to fruition, on the one hand, an ancient and diabolical plan of Satan and, at the same time but on the other hand, a much more ancient albeit a divine plan of God.

remodel, replace - or remove? (part II)

It was brought to my attention that I ought to explain what are those things which characterize an "apostate" church.  I can think of no better place to begin than to discuss the subject of TAX-EXEMPT STATUS for churches and pastors.

joy cometh - in the 'morning'

"...the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds
and of thick darkness,
as the morning spread upon the mountains:

a great people
and a strong;

there hath not been ever the like,
neither shall be any more after it,
even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them;
and behind them
a flame burneth...."

The above passage is from Joel chapter 2, verses 1a thru 3a (without any omissions).  I stylized the text in the fashion shown, in order to make the reading - and thus the meaning - of the passage clear.  It is best thought of as though there were two different voices: one speaking the words in the left-justified margin, and the other speaking the words which are right-justified (and less visible).  An analysis follows:

"Prophesy unto the wind . . ."

I love the above painting by H Mandel.  It is a representation of the account of Ezekiel's Vision in the 'valley of dry bones' (Ezekiel 37).  In context, the Biblical narrative is a prophecy concerning the restoration of Israel as a nation (which began to be fulfilled in 1948).  Yet, I believe it also has a deeper meaning.

locusts

a swarm of locusts

So it begins.  'Locusts' of all kinds are arising in swarms to overflow America.  And those swarms are hungry to devour.  As in so many Biblical accounts of God's judgments against rebellious nations, America has at length come under divine sentence of judgment, evidently, involving invading hordes of...

The Seven Seals in Prophecy and in History

Now available at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com

This book is a game-changer in the field of Bible prophecy studies.  The author systematically and meticulously expounds the true meaning of the Scriptures involving the seven seals, in the book of Revelation.  The seven seals do not pertain to the Tribulation period (as that is wrongly supposed and widely taught).  Rather, the seals belong to this present time, that is, to the Church Age; and they indicate the approaching time of the Rapture of the Church!  This book presents many important insights which cannot be found among mainstream prophecy teaching.  It is a must-read, for every serious student of Bible prophecy.
